New Development

Honky-Tonk Coming To Victoria Gardens

The legendary country music singer-songwriter and now "restaurateur" Toby Keith will soon be bringing his country flair, food and fun to Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga.

The new "Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill" restaurant will make its west coast debut when it opens later this year in a former 16,000-square-foot West Elm furniture store location. The restaurant will feature live music/concerts, western-style line dancing on a 750-square-foot dance floor, food and spirits. The 70-seat bar area will be fashioned in the shape of a guitar.

The Rancho Cucamonga Toby Keith's will be the first California location (there are several others throughout the U.S.) and will provide a unique experience for the approximately 20 million annual visitors that already enjoy the popular Victoria Gardens Regional Town Center.

Toby Keith restaurants feature a diverse menu ranging from steaks and prime rib to chicken, seafood and specialty items like a catfish sandwich and spicy ground chuck, pork sausage meatloaf with chili sauce.

Keith, known for a long string of number one singles and a recipient of numerous country music accolades, launched his restaurant venture in 2005 when the first Toby Keith's opened in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is anticipated that the Rancho Cucamonga location will hold a "soft" opening in November and a grand-opening featuring a Toby Keith concert some time in January.

Education Levels

Rancho Cucamonga has always been a well educated community. In 2008, 63.3% of its residents had some college education (above all Southern California's counties). Approximately 25.5% of the city’s residents had a Bachelors, Masters, Ph.D. or professional degree. That was well above San Bernardino (17.9%) or Riverside (20.1%) counties. The share of the city’s adults who stopped school with a high school diploma or less education was only 33.7%. That was less than every county in Southern California including well-educated Orange (35.7%) and San Diego (34.0%) counties. The influx of new residents to the city’s upscale homes has pushed up its average educational level even higher.
